Meet Sarah

Giving Back Through Compassion
Sarah began volunteering with our animal shelter two years ago after adopting her first rescue dog. What started as a way to give back quickly became a meaningful part of her life.
Why Sarah Chose to Volunteer
“I wanted to make a difference,” Sarah explains. “I knew I couldn’t adopt another pet right away, but I could give my time and help animals feel loved while they waited for their forever homes.”
Sarah volunteers three days a week, assisting with animal enrichment, feeding routines, and adoption events.
A Day in the Life of a Volunteer
During a typical shift, Sarah helps with:
- Walking dogs and providing playtime
- Socializing shy animals
- Cleaning and organizing animal spaces
- Supporting staff during adoption events
Every task helps improve the animals’ quality of life and increases their chances of adoption.
A Moment That Made an Impact
One of Sarah’s most memorable experiences was helping a timid dog named Max slowly gain confidence. “Watching him go from hiding in the corner to happily greeting visitors was incredibly rewarding,” she says. Max was adopted shortly after.
Why Volunteers Matter
Volunteers are the heart of our shelter. Their dedication provides animals with social interaction, comfort, and enrichment that make a lasting difference in their lives.
So inspiring!
